Job Omitted on H1B Application
by visa_22 6 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello,

A few years ago I worked for a US company on TN visa.
But just for a few weeks, between 6 to 8. It was an
awful environment with awful people. They didn't tell
me much. But I know that they didn't like my
experienced suggestions. They just cut me loose
one day.

I've kept this job off of my resume. Nothing good
ever came from talking about it.

This past year, I had a job offer. The company has
since sponsered me for an H1B visa. Their lawyers took
my resume and submitted it to the government. The
lawyers, and my company, do not know about this position.

I hate to lie. But there was nothing good that ever came
from this job. If I tell the lawyers/company, it will open
up a can of worms. And I would really like to forget it all.
If I bring it up now, I would feel like I'm admitting/
fessing up to lying. And it causes me a lot of stress.

However, I'm sure when the H1B application is processed,
the government will find out about this job.

Do you think this is something to worry about?
Am I, or my H1B application, in trouble now?

What is the best course of action?

Thanks a lot!
