Can a US citizen apply for food stamps ?

My Ex US citizen cheated on me so I divorced him. He gets married to the girl who cheated with me with. He brings her from Brazil and get married with her. A few months back he lost his job and went to apply for food stamps will that be a cause for deportation for them? They got married 03-08
Because if it is I will report him ....
